Very long time since I spoke to you ugly lot I hope you are all well? Laziness and job have prevented me from posting for a long time. Would be nice to meet up some time as I have put sea fishing on the shelf for a while now. Jimmy

Hi Dougie. Has the Basingstoke pit bull mellowed in his old age we must have a drink or 8 soon. What would be nice, is a day on south sea pier say a Saturday or Sunday but would need a little notice to book the time. I think Ada used to organise that one and I have to say it was a good day out, even if it was a long drive. Come on Pete, get sorting. Does Shonzy, Nally and Noel come on here? Gone all nostalgic now, Guernsey anyone?

Yeah i think all those 3 are on here, there are a few guys missing but reckon they will get on here sooner or later ! Ada had a bit of time to organise meets, but i think most of the fellas on here are working and dont get a lot of time to do this sort of stuff. Southsea Brighton or Shoreham would be good for a meet. Hayling as has been seen, is nigh on barren of fish, well Plaice anyway !!

Hi zonnkers, still got those saltwater flies you tied me a few years back, now trying to get into fly fishing properly ( only just started ) casting leaves an awful lot to be desired. A Saturday or Sunday anytime but I would need a little notice because the job I have means I could be working anywhere and any time so would need to pre book it. Pizza, we will have a few drinks, be it up here or down your way and I don't believe you have mellowed

Jimmy, thanks to you and Ralf for your time to visit us at South Parade Pier. Shame that more did not turn up. Where next?

Not much in the way of fishable piers between Walton & Southwold.
Walton & Southwold piers have fishing. Cost £6 & £6.50 respectively.
Its a 3 hour drive from J5 of the M25 to Southwold. I used to do it regularly as there is a clay shooting venue near there

Lowestoft, gorleston if you want easy fishing. You could have a go for some sole along the beach at southwold or even the pier there but I think fishing is limited to certain times. The dirty wall at aldburgh is easy to access. If you want to come up this way I will try to find out how the fishing is around here.
